So ive got this cheap Strat-like knockoff guitar, and i've been wanting to get a much better guitar already but being a student its not a justifiable option. then i thought, what if i could upgrade this cheap bastard of a guitar? the body is okay, and the electronics all work (though they need an upgrade too), just the neck is warped. so i figured, i'd bum around on ebay to find a cheap guitar neck and low and behold, i find this:

its a Squier neck, and i was wondering if anybody knew if these were any good. im kinda wary because the headstock says "Squier by Fender/ Strat" rather than "Stratocaster". it just seems a little odd to me, though for $30-40, should i just take a chance?

Are you sure it will fit with your body? Just because it may look like a Fender style guitar, doesn't necessarily mean it will fit.

Ya, I decided against it. I'm just gonna save my money and buy or build a guitar that I know will be good. Commence lockage.
