Yeah, I know how this feels bro.
My first PS3 lasted me from 2007 until May or June of 2010. Then, I sent it in to Sony, spent like 170 dollars on getting it fixed, such bs. They sent me a refurbished fatty, and that lasted only a few months before playing way too much Black Ops in an apparently not so well vented area broke my 6 month old refurbished fatty just before Xmas 2010.
I ended up saying "fuck you" to my fatty. I put it in a corner in my room, YLOD and everything. I ordered a new slim PS3 from Dell, with a huge warranty, and it has been fantastic for an entire year.
