I can't stand Kes$ha, she's got such an annoying voice. And why on earth did they let her cover Bob Dylan? (Yeah, I know about the Dylan cover album)

I hate her too, but listen to it. It's not pop, or dance or like any of her other songs. It's just vocals, no auto tune and a cello or some kind of string instrument.

this. who gives a fuck if she really can sing ? she can't write good music, and the cover will not be better than the original for sure

i wouldn't have brought it up if i didn't think it was terrible. im not gonna be the one to spread Rebeca Black's "friday pt2"

to all of you who say they aren't gonna listen to it, i ask that you just give it one listen. 3 minutes and 50 seconds of your life. nobody says that the cover is better, and if it isn't that doesn't mean you can't go right back to the original after it's done. if you do listen, you may be surprised. i wouldn't compare it to the level of emotion that Johnny Cash put into his cover of NIN "Hurt", but there's a sense of vulnerability and sadness in her voice that i was surprised by. it's a bare-bones, no frills cover.

however, you don't have to listen to it, nobody is forcing you. i ask that you open your mind, maybe i'll give country music and dubstep another go, i dunno.

Must admit. It is not bad at all. Enjoy a few Kesha songs myself when I've been out at clubs.

I keep an open mind, I assure you, I do realize that the cover might be well sung, emotionally or technically, but that doesn't mean I'll listen to it, cause singing is the least part I find interesting about music artists, what I find interesting is composing, writing lyrics ...

I won't respect a sellout just because she has once managed to carry out a good tune and put emotion in a song ... I don't like covers at all, I do agree they may be good, that's the open mind, but I still consider my time wasted listening to them ...

only few artists are interesting enough for me to check out their covers, like when Foo Fighters and Serj Tankian covered Holidays In Cambodia by The Dead Kennedys, or RATM covered Kick Out The Jams by MC 5 ...

what I'd hear here, in this cover, would probably be a well managed and a well sung song, but do you know how many people can do that ? Bob Dylan could do it better than 90% of the civilization ...
