SOUNDS LIKE..... (THE OFFICIAL COMPARISON THREAD)

PHILI SAYS: THIS IS THE OFFICIAL THREAD FOR PEOPLE TO PICK APART SONGS AND COMPARE THEM TO EVERY SINGLE SONG UNDER THE SUN. DO IT HERE AND ONLY HERE.
I've made a little list of sum 41 songs that kinda sound like other songs (or the styles of that song/artist) (now, some of theese only have very small parts in common, but still generally kinda sound the same)
1. Peices and the Scientest by Coldplay- I think we've been over this one..
2. Count Your Last Blessings kinda reminds me of the Untitled (in the end) by Linkin Park just because it starts with some piano and kicks directly into upbeat vocals.
3. King of Contradiction at first reminded me of Platypus (I hate you) by Green Day just because it's fast and in Platypus there's the part where Billie Joe sings a string of cussing and insults in kinda a disorted tone similar to parts of King of Contradictions
Okay people, That's all i got for now, see if you can find more sum 41 sounds like comparisons. (NOTE: some of you will probally say "that song sounds nothign like that song!" please, i'm not saying you HAVE to agree with me, theese are just my opinions and what i think.)

This Is Goodbye (underclass hero bonus track) reminds me alot of Everytime I Look For You of blink182

Also, Best Of Me is the same melody as The Reason By Hoobastank.

its the part where he seems to trade off lyrics with himself, is the same as Tom and Mark do in that song. the rest isnt so similiar

'king of contradiction' reminds me of 'my first punk song' by box car racer
and
the chorus of 'march of the dogs' sounds like a mix of 'man overboard' and 'go' by blink-182

another one, Pull The Curtain, at the part where deryck whispers a few lines, sounds like an MCR song (not a particular one, but just the style)

another thing i somehow missed in my earlier post was one of those bonus tracks for Underclass Hero (not this is goodbye, but the other one, can't remember the name right now) sounds like Attitude by the misfits but i think they were trying to do that...

. My thoughts exactly! Almost identical. I agree with all the other posts too.
I'm glad someone else started this thread. I unfortunately think a lot of the UH songs sound like other artists' songs, but I figured I would get lynched via the internet for starting a thread like this.
Also, "With Me" sounds suspiciously like "Only One" by Yellowcard. Like "Pieces/Scientist", the lyrical pacing is different, but the chord progressions and structures of the songs are the same. Since they're touring together they should do a live mash up.

again, like a posted. Those are just my opinions. Different people have different ears i geuss you could say. But i do kidna agree with the reason part. I could have explained more but i just didn't feel like it... I"M LAZY lol
