Do you see Dave being intrigued/inspired by the new album?

*Well since my last topic got messed up somehow, ill try to repost the jist of what I was trying to say*
So I picked up the album Tuesday and I was pretty pleased with it. (Ill probably do a review later when I get mor time). With this more aggressive style, I was wondering first, if Dave is going to listen to the album, and second if he would be inspired and ask to rejoin the band since their seems to be a darker/heavier style now. I haven't heard any current news about the Brown Brigade, are they still together? And I know theres been topics about this in the past, but I'm curious as to what others think with the new style they have. Also I noticed in the album booklet, Tom wasn't declared a member of Sum 41, which I thought was pretty odd, even though Deryck said he was an official member. Anyways, what do you guys think?

You have to bare in mind Dave left off the back of the Chuck album, It wasnt just a case of wanting to play heavy music

Yeah he wont ever come back. He's happy doing whatever he's doing. Imo, that's being a jackass. People would kill for what he had, but I suppose you do what you have to. I'd love to see them collaborate some time in the future.

Even if dave comes back (he wont) Sum 41 still wont have the high energy shows...because of derycks back and stuff..I'm actually totally fine with Tom now...at first i was a little iffy...but now I don't mind him at all

I can also see Dave enjoying this album, but I don't think he's going to go back nor be asked to return. They're set in their own ways at this point.

i think it's because Tom didnt record anything on the album. Deryck did all the guitars and stuff by himself

I wouldn't think so. I don't care whether he's in the band or not, they still make awesome music without him.

I don't think Deryck would let Dave come back either. Especially if things are really working well with Tom. However, if there was a conflict with schedules and whatnot with Gob and Sum 41 had no other choice, I can see them possibly turning to Dave to help out with some shows on tour or something
As for being reinstated into the band as an official member, I don't think it would happen.

I think Dave would be intrigued by the new album, but nothing more than interested in it. I don't think him listening to this new album would change his feelings for leaving. I don't think he regrets it and is in a good place right now, as are The Sums.

As much as i love what Dave brought to the band i think he will ever come back, maybe do a surprise appearance like he did back in 2008 durinf Pain For Pleasure.

Why do you have a spoiler in your sig? That kinda defeats the purpose of the sig in the first place. As for this topic, no, I don't even know where you got the idea of that happening. But that's just me.
