***RE: The What Do You Play? Thread***

Just making this thread to see how many people would be interested in having a Screaming Bloody Murder guitar cover contest on Youtube. If it does go ahead, I would say we'd have the least bother using the track SBM, cos UMG wouldn't pull them down.

I've never organized anything like this before, is there anything I'd have to take into consideration if it gets a positive response and does go ahead?

I would enter the contest, I did a cover of scumfuck not long ago and I'm really intested in doing some of the new songs would be cool!

Haha, I think SBM would be better suited, because most people would be able to rattle off Skumfuk with no mistakes. SBM is more varied and a small bit more difficult technically

And I don't know what to do about judges :/ Maybe some admins? Maybe we could get Tom to look at some of them?

yeah, too bad I couldn't take a part then, that riff is just too difficult to me, I play for just 3 months. Holy Images of Lies sounds pretty easy though.

Just pick some trustable people who know lots about guitars and who know the best how to play the songs.

Indeed, it seems like a fairer way to do things and Gejmik could enter that way

It would have to be formatted a certain way, so I'll give it some thought tonight. People, leave your suggestions here in the mean time!

Sure I'll enter. I'll enter one of my covers. Would it be okay if it's blocked from everywhere but canada? or will I have to submit a different one

I was learning the title track a few weeks ago now, still working on the solo. I'm a shit technical player though, we'll see how it pans out.

I'm sure I'm not, really. I learned a start of Sweet Child O' Mine, Motivation, Fat Lip and Skumfuk, a lill' part of SBM (chorus and intro) and a few riffs. But except that, I can't play anything. It's been 3 months I hope I'll get better in.. Let's say - a year.

And no, it's totally cool I didn't take it in a bad way .
