Ok, a common theme in the Screaming Bloody Murder feedback is that "Time For You To Go" and "Baby You Don't Wanna Know" sound so different from the rest of the album that they feel out of place.
So I thought I would make a thread so people can talk about that particular aspect here instead of every other SBM thread.
So what do we think? Do people agree with this? Not?
Personally, I like the songs, but agree that due to the nature of their style they interupt the flow of the album, and for this reason would be better of together or as B-sides.
What does everyone else think?

Well I wouldn't say that they blend in well but they definitely not make my listening experience bad or anything and I really like those tracks. So I vote neutral option!

I was going to add a neutral option but decided against it, because I don't think wether people like the tracks should be a factor.
I'm simply asking if you feel they fit or not. So if you don't feel they blend then the other option would be for you.

i do agree that they feel out of place, but i'm still kind of glad they're in the album. there's a lot of changes when you listen to the album, specifically starting at track 3
skumfuk is dark, then time for you to go is that different sound, then jessica kill is dark again, then what am i to say is a softer song, then onto the 12 minute song that is overall pretty dark. then crash, which is soft.
i wouldn't skip the songs when listening though. they feel more in place in my opinion than some of the songs in does this look infected in that respective album.

They're cool songs, but I don't feel like they fit in well with the dark vibe of the album.

Tone wise, they don't fit the album but it's always nice to have some contrast to the darker songs.

They're out of place but they're also the best songs on the album. Would be a much better album if they were all like that.. It's still a good album though.

I haven't heard them yet, but what so wrong about two songs not fitting into the album?
I never heard anybody complain about Pieces on Chuck or about King of Contradiction on Underclass Hero. King of Contradiction was even choosen as the best UH-song, so what's the deal?
Even if they are out of place... so what? Each album has such (a) song(s).

No one said there was anything wrong with that. Some people were commenting on that they effected the flow and I found it interesting so I made a topic.

I disagree.

I think they are out of place tonally. But they are a nice contradiction to the other songs. Plus the Pain for Pleasure songs seemed more out of place in DTLI to me than these in this album, as someone mentioned. Plus I don't think a lot of songs in Chuck really fit, like you have Pieces, then you have Metallica-esque Bitter End, and Linkin Park-esque I'm Not the One. btw I think Noots and Open Your Eyes are the best off of that Chuck album. SBM is my favorite album now though. Hard to imagine these are the same people who sang that song with the mexican horns outro in HHOP.

(even though that was still sick) hahaahah

I like albums with different varietys because it makes it a better listen.
It might only be me, but i didn't really enjoy the new Rise Agaisnt album because it just felt like the same sound the whole way through.
So yeah the don't blend with the whole album, but that's what makes it enjoyable.

Out of place definitely. Those are the 2 songs I don't like from the album, and they are way different from the other songs.

Wasn't Baby You Don't Wanna Know a song that was recorded relatively late?
I think it was one of the songs the band themselves paid for.
So with that in mind, I can't even think of disliking it.

Yeah, I might be wrong but I think they also paid for Time For You To Go?

Is it just me, or these two really sound like Oasis? xD At least that's what I thought when I heard them for the one and only time I've listened to the album so far. Yeah, they may be a bit different from the rest of the album, but I still think they're both awesome songs and I'm glad that they're in it, rather then released as b-sides.
