What's everyones opinion?

I held off buying the original because 2nd gen Apple products are always much better, but apart from the speed this seems like a minor upgrade to me. I'm considering getting one and selling it in a year for an iPad 3 if it's significantly better, I was after a better display but I'm too impatient.

I've been looking into the Motorola Xoom as well which is pretty amazing, but all I've heard is that Android Honeycomb lacks apps and it's still buggy, it's gonna take another 6 months for that to be polished and to catch up meaning it'll probably be obsolete again. Also, I imagine there's not as much resell ability on a Motorola compared to an iPad.

I don't know where would I use a tablet. I've got 13" notebook, I've got iPhone and I don't think that I need something between those 2 things.

Well if you have a desktop a 10" tablet will come in handy. I'm thinking of getting the iPad 3 for Uni.

I need one. I'm so technically unadvanced, I just got my first ipod 2 Christmases ago. Maybe I should go on Oprah before it ends and hope she gives one away!

I always said that anyone who bought the first ipad was an idiot. now the ipad 2 is a lot better and i can see a lot of real use for it. sports teams are apparently get rid of their old paper play books and switching over to an ipad. i think thats a great idea, no more wasted paper. however, i doubt i'll get an ipad, ever. iphone5, probably.

I want one, even though I have no need for one. I just want one.

I've never had a need for an iPad, so no interest in getting one. The iPhone 5 on the other hand I'm interested in seeing although I'm not getting a new phone for a good three or four years from now. Spent loads on the 4, so I'll going to make it last.

I'm almost definitely gonna get an iPad 2 now, the reviews are all good. I've been looking at these amazing bamboo cases I've had my eye on for a while, might get one of those as well. I'm torn between Grovemade cases, Dodocase and Incase. All my other cases are Incase and they've never let me down.. but check this out:

Also GarageBand on iPad has some pretty promising reviews.

It's way too expensive imo.

those cases look pretty rad!

I got the smaller one, I have no need for the 27" one (and my budget didn't stretch that far!)

Well. Both of them :D. I don't know if I would consider buying an iPad 2, I would go with 32GB version with 3G, which is damn expensive.

Yeh the case is $79 but it's not far off what Apple are charging for their cases. I might go with the 32GB version, not with 3G though. I've got an iPhone for browsing on the move and I can use my iPad anywhere else.

if I get one I'm not going to bother with 3G, I doubt I'll need it.

Jailbreak iphone and use that as a 3g modem for it :P

This stuff's so expensive. It looks sexy but I doubt I'd ever use it enough to make it worth the money.
