I noticed most of the members here are musicians(such as myself ) so how cool to it be to have a contest here?
It would be awesome if we have a competition where lets say, 5-10 people from this forum would make a one-two minute short song.

We let the non-competing members choose the genre/what it should sound like (Punk, Metal, Industrial, One Instrument song, Garage sound, One Chord Song, Cover of a Song etc.) and by the last day of the (each?)month they would have to turn in their work ANONYMOUSLY, and have the members vote on the best. And the winner gets bragging rights!!! and maybe a sig?

Just an idea to keep the fourm active after SBM is released
so i am asking if we would be allowed to do this, i will set it up and create guidlines and rules

if I get to choose a genre, I'm suggesting Dubstep.

The best remix of a SUM41 song the non-contestants chose? And you get to do the remix any way you want????

We should do a cover of any Sum 41 song and the most adventurous/creative cover would win. Like a Nu Metal cover of Fat Lip, or turning No Reason into a ballad.

While seeing a ballad version would be cool, i'd rather see original content, something you took a shit load of time and hard work in a month to come up with, you know?

We did a contest sorta like this a few years ago, it was covering a Sum41 song, I won with Look At Me but never got my prize, nor did 2nd and 3rd place...lol

Being serious now, the No Reason into a ballad is a really cool idea. Or making Pieces into a Bitter End-esque song. Or something else like that.

I'd totally be up for this, but unfortunately, I have no way to record decent vocals. So whatever contests I participate in would only be instrumental.

Also, this is a really cool idea. We do it as a weekly or bi-weekly thing; really work the creative musician in us all, haha.

I think the people should be making up a TNS theme song! That would rock!
