Latest Posts area near the top problem

hey
for me, at least, the area near the top of the page, below the banner, it has the recent posts area etc. and the background and text are both pretty much black, which means i can't read any of it. is it a problem for everyone atm or is something going wrong with mine?

Yeah, Jake screwed with it and never got to fixing it.

Btw, the latest post link doesn't always work properly for me. Let's say, if the thread has 6 pages, and i click the link to the post on page 5, the link takes me to the first post of page 6.

yeah ...I just can't see the writing there cause the background is black and the writing is black XD but I like the combination
