Hey, guys! In russia we have
http://vk.com It's like the facebook clone, but it's the biggest social network in russia and nearby countries. i'm the administrator of the sums community there. Here it is
http://vk.com/club194521, i suppose that it's the biggest russian fan base. And now VK is making public pages for celebrities, companies etc.(like fb, yeah) I was lucky and got this page
http://vk.com/public22932199 I'd like to make it official or semi-official page of the band and then it will be renamed to
http://vk.com/sum41 What am i supposed to do and whom to write about it. I'd like sums to be represented in russia and in russian, because not much of their fans here know english good.
i'm sorry it's required there to be logged in now, but i expect that they'll open public pages for all like on the fb

Well, there are a lot of social networks that have community pages for different things. So to make it "official" wouldn't necessarily change a thing. Especially if you can't access it without signing up for the site.
So, to make an official community for Russian fans, I'd suggest to create your own site.
If you don't know how to make your own website, check
http://www.webs.com/.
That's a start, since it doesn't require any skills.

i know how to create web pages and so on, but i meant to do something like their official page on the facebokk, but on the vk.com. Literally i need a kind of permission from sums to take the name "vk.com/sum41" I don't need to create other sites cause in the vk i've 30 thousands people who care about sums.

Facebook.com/Sum41 is run by Sum 41 itself. So you can't really make it "official" same way.

I'd like them to run vk.com/sum41 by themselves, but i suppose that they won't

You can always ask them, but I doubt that, since there aren't really any vk users outside Russia.

That's not really likely.. they can't speak russian and it's kinda hard for them to keep up with the sites they have going on already..

There're a lot of foreigners on vk, but most of them speak russian.

You don't need a permission to run a fansite. All of the fansites around the web (France, Italia, Brazil, even TNS) are run by fans without band's permission. Official sites are run by the band itself, so there isn't any fansites that are "official".

think you'll have to ask the label, since they're the ones who run this official stuff

Hey, i think my country is the worst country in the world except some African countries, but it's only the government. That's not about all russians. Here's a lot of good people.

Don't feel bad, Sumelf. At least you don't live in an EU country, they're more corrupt than any government on the planet.
Good luck with the page!
