it was a christian man and he killed him because John had said that Beatles are more famous than God(later he explained) ...there is plenty of opinions on his death ...some say that he was killed becase he caused too many trouble with his anti-war projects ...

I read an article on UG not long ago, where it was said the man who killed him wanted to become famous, or something like that. Though I don't think theres a specific reason of why he killed him, he's just mad, that's all !

yeah but there is so many theoris on this ...I heard something about CIA wanting to get rid of John Lennon(because of his anti-war acrivism) and so CIA forced that man to kill him ...

It's been almost 30 years ago. My dad remembers it well. I guess it was the equivalent to when Michael Jackson died.
