If you like that acoustic/folk/punk sound (much like Frank Turner) then you should be able to enjoy these guys. They're a local band from near where I live and my friend showed them to me last weekend. Some songs consist of banjo, harmonica and acoustic guitar. It's some pretty good stuff.

I like Ghost Town Stories, Two Chords and Athabasca Roll.

awesome. I want their full album now, might message them to see if they can ship one to the UK. if not, Jeremy can do it, in exchange for a record of his choice!

I've searched for it in HMV stores, but no luck and same with iTunes. Last time I checked I couldn't find it! Though, that would be a great trade if that's what you were thinking!

it is what I was thinking! I'll have to have a look at the dvd region thing, might be a problem if I send it but it doesn't work your end!

I wasn't sure whether they'd suit my taste in music but I decided to check them out anyway.

And I'm glad I did that! They sound great =P Hitchin' Blues reminds me of Billy Joel's Piano Man

I still haven't received a message back on MySpace, Bobby. But I'll let you know when I do. Did you find out what region code that Frank Turner DVD was?

no, I forgot to look! I'll have a look tonight and see if it says anywhere on the case, if not I'll email the label and see if they can tell me.

Sounds good. Still no word from the band on my end, but if I can get work off this Thursday, I will be going to a CD release party where the band will be playing, along with some others. My friend says I can probably pick up copies of their albums there.

sweet. I had a look at the dvd and it says nothing about the region on the case, or on their website. I'll find an email address and ask them that way.

Alright, the band has recorded two CD's, so I picked both those up for you as well as a CD by this band called Feast or Famine. They're a great band as well. Kind of ska, but they rock out pretty hard too. I haven't gotten the chance to listen to any of the CD's because I was away all weekend, but basically I got you three CD's, haha.

EDIT:

Bobby, if you're reading this, watch this video! I love it for the song. It's a bar anthem. Probably my favorite song by them!

Here's the band playing a new song called "Hey Dynasty, Don't Forget" on BalconyTV. On Friday night I went to see Joe play a solo set at a bar, then we had some Tequila shots and went for sushi later with some more friends. It was pretty sweet, haha.
