Sake Bombs Stage Banter 2010 Style!

I just felt like doing this. I find it amusing that in the Sake Bombs show i think Deryck says fuck like two or three times. The rest of the banter is actually pretty good. Just take the banter before ANIC:

If he would do something similar today it would sound something like this:
It's fucking pretty. I'm gonna dedicate this fucking next song. Cause this is a fucking special fucking love song if you will. Dedicated to a very special motherfucker. I don't know if you crazy motherfuckers here in fucking Tokyo if you know this fucking person. If you don't you're fucking lucky. This song is about someone with the fucking name of Anna Nicole Smith. This is our fucking one and fucking only fucking love song.

I hope you get my point. Deryck uses the word fuck way to much. It's even weirder since at one point he actually barely used it.

I agree 100%. he'll figure it out one day though, look at metallica, they were worse than he is, and now james never even says fuck on stage. and I do also like the I2D banter, because the band actually talked to each other, that made it more fun.

I think most of us here thinks that. He said fuck alot in the ItD dvd aswell but that was different to me atleast cause the band actually talked to each other.

yeah, the stage banter is less fun with him using "fuck" as every other word. I2D was my favorite because of the interaction btw the band members. more relaxed and realistic hah.

I really like the banter when they played Pukkelpop in 2003 or whatever year it was. At one time he I think he dedicated No Brains to "Benny and Frida right there... the mushroom kings!"

Me too.. that's the shit, you crazy motherfucker! I really hope this on-stage swearing dullness ends soon enough to not become actually annoying. It's just not original anymore and I don't want to keep making fun of shit like this forever. I expect them to do that, like they do off-stage.

Haha. I used to think that was super-bad-ass.

I wish he would shut up and just play all those songs that they haven't played in years but everybody wants to hear live ['Handle This', 'Another Time Around', 'Hyper-Insomnia-Para-Condriod', etc ?].

They should just do a show or a small tour where the entire setlist is all songs they haven't played or haven't played in a very long time. Max Headroom live? That would be pretty sweet. Complete with the horns and everything. They could get creative and have that song transition into King of Contradiction or something.

With a 30-40 minute set on Warped Tour, I swear if Deryck extends one bridge to talk and ask "how all the fucking crazy bastards or motherfuckers are doing tonight" I'm gonna be pissed.

These are the songs I see in the setlist during this tour.

The Hell Song
Fat Lip
We're All to Blame
Over My Head
Still Waiting
Motivation or In Too Deep

No order, well they're definitely opening with The Hell Song. And if they still play p4p them maybe that too will finish it.

I guarantee that'll be a show right there. I'M CERTAIN. QUOTE ME ON THIS.

I will be amazed if No Brains or Mr. Amsterdam appears though. I'm hoping that they both appear (that'll be my dream warped set) but I doubt they will. Its like 85/15 that No Brains would appear over Mr. Amsterdam though. They haven't play Mr. Amsterdam in like forever.

Didn't they bring back Mr. Amsterdam (along with No Brains and Welcome to Hell) back for a short period of time in the spring/summer of 2009 for whatever shows they were doing back then?

Yeah they did. But for Warped maybe Deryck should just shut up and try to play as many as possible and whenever he needs to say something he should forget the script and come up with something new.

And Max Headroom would be sweet live, but Deryck hardly plays anything but power chords these days so there would probably be no double solo.
