Anybody else going to see Blink-182 with the shows in September? I'm seeing them in Bethlehem, PA. I hope I can meet Mark and Travis so they can sign my Blink shoe. Anybody seeing them on this date?

another Blink album?... Fuck yeah!
Another +44 album?... holy shit!!
another AVA album?... eh...
Here are a couple clips and Ilan playing some guitar for a cover (not sure if that is for an AVA release)

I guess one reason I'm a little more excited is that Ilan has actually been in the studio, playing various instruments and taking part in the recording. Hasn't just been all Tom. Plus a new drummer will make the songs sound a little different overall.

I'm not going to the Brooklyn one, but I got a ticket for the Starland Ballroom. I haven't been there since they re-did it, but unless it's bigger, I don't see how 2,500 people can fit in there. I saw MCR there and there was tops 300. I can't wait, hopefully I'll be able to meet them!!!

Has anyone been noticing the photos the band are putting up? There's speculation that they're going to tour for the 10th anniversary of the self titled album, playing it in it's entirety. Thoughts?

This is my favourite blink album so, it'd be nice to see this happen.

Oh, that's what that was? I couldn't figure it out, but that sounds most probable.

People are speculating there will be an announcement today (10/21) via KROQ radio at 7:30, anything from a re-release of their self-titled, to a anniversary tour, or at least a few shows. this is pretty cool!

Kinda sad that there is apparently more to talk about blink 182 than the sums on a sum 41 fansite.

It was confirmed that they're playing a few shows (I think in Vegas, could be wrong) playing the album in its entirety.
I hope someone gets good footage of it.

They should film a show of them playing the album in its entirety and attach it to a 10-year anniversary disc of the album.

Anyone make it to an Untitled album show? This was the setlist on the last night

Untitled Album
--------------------------------
Not Now
M+M's
Apple Shampoo
Dick Lips
Going Away to College
Mutt
Natives
Dammit (with "Mama Said Knock You Out" feat LL Cool J in the middle)
Family Reunion

Awesome show. An article that came out today said they plan to get to recording an album within 90 days cos they're hyped up from the Untitled nostalgia

The brand new single Bored to Death can be listened here: https://vid.me/FzGv

It actually reminds me a bit of (+44), but that might be me.

Besides that, the chorus is quite catchy but overall I'm not that convinced. I don't know... It seems like they didn't evolve at all, while Sum 41 did so on every album.

The album name also got confirmed: California. Travis stated the album "will be out sooner than you think".

EDIT/ Wow, there's a chance they're putting the entire album up for streaming on their site TOMORROW.

I really enjoy this song much more on first impression than I did with Up All Night from the Neighborhoods album. The last album was so underwhelming.

If I had to turn this into a metaphor it would be like if old Blink-182 was "Still Waiting" and new Blink-182 is "Jessica Kill". At face value you could say they're similar, but lyrics have gotten a bit deeper and the music is a little more complex.

I also get that +44 vibe from the music, which is good because I loved that album.

I agree the song doesn't showcase much growth, but maybe it's just to give us an idea of what to expect. Although, it has been a long time since "Blink-182" was "Blink-182". Maybe this album will be a return to form and not as much creative ambition as Neighborhoods or the self-titled album.

It's too slow for me, and I personally feel it wasn't the best single to choose for a comeback with a new lineup. It should've been something a little faster and catchier.

have you guys been listening to all the new blink songs? I feel like the songs have been overly-polished and kinda uninspired/bland. However, 'Cynical' just leaked and is better than all the other songs I've heard off California so far.

I have. No Future took me like 2-3 listens to get to like it, but overall I'm enjoying what I heard so far. Bored To Death is great, I love the lyrics of Rabbit Hole. Built This Pool is cool :winkwink: Cynical sounds like a great album opener for them. Can't wait to hear the whole thing.
