strat vs tele...

what do you think is best / which is your favourite?
ill go for telecaster. my friend has a squier one which sounds great and looks awesome. plus, deryck plays one.
no real point to this thread, im just wondering which is the most popular model...

telecaster and les pauls are the best:)but to me les paul has got a feeling!so i say les paul

i love my les paul. so i'll say les paul. however i have played a few strats and teles and if i had to pick between those i'd probably pick a tele.

Telecaster mainly because Deryck plays one. Plus I don't think the Strat is my thing... It's like the "every-guitar." And I can't afford a Gibson. I'd want to get an SG eventually. Les Pauls too.

I haven't use a tele before, is that heavy? It looks heavy. I want an SG. Forgotten Son! Why do you like SG so much? Please explain it! =)

i dont like sg, at all. but yes, teles are pretty heavy but its not like it hurts your back or anything, its a solid guitar and its just SO nice to hold, i dont know. dont like SG's though. just seem so cliche

i like les paul's and telecaster but les pauls are so heavy when you put it down our shoulder is so sore

^^ yeah, i tried a les paul for the first time today. pretty good sound but, fuck, its heavy!
i also tried a fender custom tele (same as derycks). imo the best sounding guitar in the shop. the man at the counter let me and my friend try out all these guitars cause we said we were gonna buy something. but after an hour we just walked out. :)

i've played a gibson sg and gibson les paul and they kick my deryck whibley's telecaster's ass. Those gibson are kickass, the best possible guitar that a guitar player may have. They are awesome but they are really expensive though. It's like a different feeling. A good example of that would be that i've never played the bitter end solo on my guitars, but i took the les paul and i played at my first try, i was shocked; it's the best that money can buy
