im in need of codecs

sorry im putting this here, but i need someones help and it probably wouldn't be viewed anywhere else.
there was this codec pack i cant remember what the name is, hentaiman showed me it but maybe some of the other savvy (b-boyblue? jake?) might know it. it was a huge pack of codecs, pretty much any you'd need. it made watching AVI files in windows media center possible. help?

thank you sir, it now plays in windows media center but it still doesn't play in windows movie maker?
which is really what i wanted it for loool. i figured it would be the same thing pretty much. the audio plays but the video doesn't.

CCC uses its own media splitter and codec library, kind of like VLC, I guess. I have no idea about Windows Movie Maker. It probably uses the Windows codec library (or whatever it's called), so you should find out what exact videocodec your file requires and then install it stand-alone. With VLC or somewhere in the right-click-menu of the red FFv icon while playing the file in Windows Media Player, you should be able to find that info.
Btw. I hate this damn iPhone TNS layout, I can't do shit here and I can't find the control panel to switch back to the old style. I need help!

Solution is fairly simple. Dont use Windows Movie Maker.

i don't do much video editing what-so-ever, thats why i was going to use WMM. and this isn't my computer but that looks fucking awesome, i'm gonna try it.

I have no idea, I just know that it recently released all of it's source code and now free and I've also know that is has won a few oscars.
