ohh yea I had it in my mind but didn't remember the name... The beginning sounds a bit like Tik tok if I remember right, I don't know much of todays MTV music scene.

To be honest, if i'd heard only the chorus then i wouldn't have recognized that it's Katy Perry, it's indeed more like Ke$ha than the old Katy Perry.

When was Katy Perry's sound ever good to begin with? I mean, thinking back to it, I don't even know why I liked it to begin with. I don't know if it was catchy or if I chuckled at her lyrics and decided "this is good", or what... but I listen now and I ask myself "what was ever that good about this?" She's sexy, and maybe she can sing, but she doesn't really sound anything more than an average pop artist on her first record. This record, although I haven't listened to the single or anything, sounds like it will have an electronic dance style to it? I don't see how it's that bad. If I were on a deserted island with just a Ke$ha album, a Lady GaGa album, and Katy Perry's first record, I'd probably go with the first two before listening to Katy Perry. So, maybe she's going in a good direction.

If it's hard to understand at this point, Jedd, you have to realize that money and fame drives artists to do some annoying things. Blame success for Perry's change in style. It happens to most artists.

Let me rephrase that..

When i heard her songs, i could sing along. Sing them anywhere, people sing along. In a weird way, her songs were different than many pop girls just tasting fame.

I can't sing this. People won't sing along. This isn't catchy to me the first time it hits my ears. Therefor, it's different.

I hate this ...why so many artists have to change their music for success ?? fuck them all

Katy Perry is a pop artist. As with most musicians, particularly pop artists, she'll make any music in hopes of success.
