Lol, you still need to learn a lot. Even I instantly got it although I had never heard of Solid Gold before. I just guessed it was some kind of 80's music chart show. So I thought it was just making fun of all those wanna-be-artistic retro style music videos, kind of like Still Waiting.

no i actually watched it about a month ago but i've only been listening to sum 41 for a month and everyone is telling me i already know everything about them (i've got all their rare songs and everything) but if i've got things to catch up that's awesome

They usually to do fun and stupid videos, with the exceptions of Pieces, Some Say and With Me. I think in the making of We're All To Blame they even said, that the most stupid ideas usually end up being the best.
