I think it's about trying too hard to make a realationship work.
That you love each other but hate each other at the same time.
Trying to make it work when it's acctually not worth it.
But that's just what it seems to me.

yeah I think about swimming while I listen to this song too :D I think it's my favorite summer song ...

see this is a track i got bored with becuase it was always overplayed radio, tv ect and for years iv skipped it but iv got a new found love for it and been watching loads live vids of it

and i noticed deryek always says some sort of mumble in the verse just after " but still wel try it one more time " then he made some mumble ...annd i think hes did it most performances from all eras

any one knw why he does this is there a reason or anything

yeah I can tell he's saying I don't know why from the first video alone, and I don't know why he does that (no pun intended) in a way he's adding to the line before it though, why are we trying again?

yeh a guess sit makes sence but jst strange even when he dnt say it he makes a noise or somthing

Definitely this. And it's clearly "I don't know why".
But in the Summer Sonic 2007 video it's just "hey" or something. Probably the song isn't that close-to-heart anymore to include those words between the lines.

But it's always nice when they add/change lyrics for the live shows.

Its pretty clear that he say "I don't know why". The only video of those above that he don't say it is the one from Summer Sonic.
