Join and and stand up for the fight against the X Factor
Fed up of Simon Cowell's latest karaoke act being Christmas No.1?
Me too... So who's up for a mass-purchase of the track 'KILLING IN THE NAME' from December 13th (DON'T BUY IT YET!) as a protest to the X-Factor monotony?
We should all do this because having Killing in the Name of as a Christmas #1 would be epic.

would love for this to happen, but it won't. the majority of people who join the facebook groups and shit are 13 year olds who won't part with 79p cos they need it to buy freddo bars.

Scotland doesn't have the Queen on our money, instead, it's some dude that I've never heard of but the newer £10 notes have rabbi burns on them.

the song is now on sale. going into today, RATM had 60,000 more sales that that Geordie twat, though today the CD got released for the X-Factor sinlge, so expect it to rape the Rage song now. I'm keeping an eye on the sales for it this week anyway.
also, everyone watch this, fuckin brilliant!

I dunno because the single charts is nowadays is only made up of 2% CD sales and downloads make up the rest but I don't think it will make it to number 1 even though I hope it does.

yea, that ususally is the trend with CD sales now, but the X-Factor song usually bucks this trend. they have produced 500,000 copies of this single, and are expecting to shift 75% of them. they put these CD's up for sale in Tescos and ASDA, and parents doing their shopping will pick it up as a great stocking filler for there kids. you have to look at the kind of people who would want thsi song, alot of them are middle aged woman, who alot of them don't know how to use itunes or download songs, so they buy the CD.
I really do hope RATM beat Joe, though I can't see it happening.
Also, Tom Morrelo has come out and said he will give his royalty money from the sale of this song to charities in the UK helping young, under-priveledged kids get into music. nice touch

double post, but did anyone here RATM swearing on the radio yesterday morning? was quality!
Rage were still leading going into today, but the lead had been reduced to about 9000, can see the shit-factor song overtaking today and tomorrow.
