New Update!

Cone is on a flight to LA right now... We're finally starting to rehearse the new record!! Fuck yeah! Brown Tom will get in sometime tomorrow. Yes!!
In true Sum 41 fashion - we settle for nothing but the very best: Our rehearsal space is in the nicest part of the ghetto and smells of the sweetest piss in the city. All the roaches wear tuxedos and the crappy metal band across the hallway is actually gonna make it big. Toot Toot!! I'm thoroughly jazzed...
Time to knock the dust off of the beer fridge and return to our art after a long period of hibernation.
We will keep you posted. Things are REALLY happening now... (All the previous posts were bullshit...)

I'd put all my money on this record being finished sometime in january/early february at the most.

So they're just starting rehearsals? There's so much redundancy in their Twitter posts they all blend together in my head. But I thought they've been rehearing for the past week or two already.

I think Steve and Deryck have already been rehearsing for past week or two. Maybe coming up with drum tracks for new songs Deryck wrote.

I can't believe it. I've been collecting every piece of information since the first update September 2008, So I'll be posting text version of born of this album when track list and release date are revealed.

Well good to now stuff ARE happening haha. I can't wait!
Yeah, I think Deryck and Steve said before the two of them were playing around together but I guess this is the real thing rehearsals with Cone and Tom and all. Plus, recording of the album still starts in November 1st.
I bet this album will be recorded around January-February. That means the record could be released around May-June even, with mixing and mastering left and all.
If you remember correctly, the recording of UH also started in November 2006, anmd it was recorded until March I think, and ya know, the record only came out in July. But somewhy, I have a feeling the recording of this record will be faster, like Deryck is all so organized and so sure and confident in himself about this record and its direction and music. I also think it'll be simpler without too much piano and stuff like this, so I bet recording will be faster and maybe even done until January, faster than UH. I mean, I know some amazing albums that were recorded in just weeks or one month or so... so anything is possible.

Also, anyone hope Tom's name is cited in the booklet? I do.

he has written one song for sum41 this far(from what we know) which will prob be on the album, so tom's name is on the booklet for sure IMO
