One, 41 Sums! Lay down your guns, into the sky! You and I...

That's the epic name of the new Sum 41 mix CD I made a couple of days ago. It's long, but it's cool. Anyway, I just wanted to show you guys what I think is a compilation of Sum 41's most fun, fast, badass moments in their career. If anyone has Sum 41 mix CD's of their own, go ahead and post them because this is a stretch at some activity for The Sums forum.
Anyway, here's mine:
1. Introduction to Destruction (Great opener, how could I not include this?)
2. In Too Deep by The String Quartet (Totally takes the merit away from the badassness of track 1, that's what makes it funny. But it's also a fun song to listen to)
3. Thanks for Nothing (Now we get down to business)
4. Second Chance for Max Headroom
5. Ma Poubelle
6. No Reason (The transition into this song from Ma Poubelle sounds awesome. Try it.)
7. Get Back (w/ Ludacris)
8. Over My Head - Live (From Does This Look Infected, Too?)
9. Makes No Difference
10. Fat Lip
11. Killer Queen Cover
12. The Hell Song
13. Grab the Devil
14. Subject to Change
15. Little Know It All
16. Noots
17. Still Waiting
18. Things I Want (w/ Tenacious D)
19. The Bitter End
20. Pain for Pleasure
21. 88

Thats a nice one. I should compile a mix CD of the Sums of my own, although some stuff I don't agree on and I don't think worth including in a Sum mix CD. Get Back w/ Ludacris and Ma Poubelle are two songs I wouldn't include. I'm skeptic about Killer Queen too although its a cool cover and shows a very different Sum 41 especially with Deryck's vocals there, although its hard to be called badass. Also where the hell is Machine Gun?! hahaha.

Haha, I made this CD based on what friends I'd have in my car with me while listening to it. Get Back and Killer Queen cater to the rap and classic rock fans respectively. Plus, I really enjoy the music in Get Back, the bridge just sounds so cool. Ma Poubelle is pretty much just filler, but I like the contrast it has with No Reason. People will be like, "Wtf is this song?" and then No Reason kicks in and it's like "Oh, that's more like it!"
And Machine Gun! I know, I should've thrown it in there, but I chose the horns that are in Max Headroom over it.
Another one I wanted to put in was No Brains from Pukkelpop, but the sound quality was poor compared to the rest of the tracks so it just stuck out like a sore thumb.

I made an MP3 disk for my car with all their studio albums and Go Chuck Yourself. I have no need for a mix CD.

Why does your Sum 41 album named after Green Day's song rip-off?
Shouldn't it be named after sum-song?

I think the No Brains from GCY is also very cool and from the MTV Hard Rock Live 2004 performance was also pretty fuckin' cool. And yeah, I also enjoy the music in Get Back, the leads are pretty cool and all, but I really don't like the rapping.

nice mix CD! my favorite sum 41 mix that I made is this one:
Intro (chuck)
No Reason
Mr. Amsterdam
Welcome To Hell
The Bitter End
Still Waiting
Hyper-Insomnia-Para-Condrioid
Billy Spleen
We're All To Blame
ANIC
No Brains
Hooch
I'm Not The One
Over My Head (Better Off Dead)
Angels with Dirty Faces
Thanks For Nothing
Open Your Eyes
Moron
88
then I put some bonus P4P songs at the end:
Grab The Devil By The Horns
Ride the Chariot to the Devil
Pain For Pleasure
WWVII Parts 1 And 2
and I would have put the metallica covers on if they fit, but nope. I'd say this is the best sum 41 mix ever though (I should, since I made it for my tastes)
oh and I dare someone to play this mix for anyone who thinks sum 41 is nothing more than a pop-punk band.

Love the mix, Jeremy.
But, i think maybe you should add some UH bonus tracks next time. There really good, and for the most part, high tempo soo, fun songs.
Mine would go.
1. No reason.
2. Fat Lip.
3. Some Say.
4. The Hell Song.
5. Underclass Hero.
6. Walking Disaster. (Like the album, i know, but i like the pair together)
7. Grab The Devil.
8. Mr. Amsterdam.
9. No Brains.
10. Speak Of The Devil.
11. Subject To Change.
12. In Too Deep.
13. The Hell Song - GCY
14. T.H.T.
15. Over My Head.
16. Confusion and Frustration.
17. Motivation
18. Some Say - GCY
19. 88
20. THERESNOSOLUTION.
21. With Me. (Something Mellow)
22. Over My Head - Acoustic.
23. Finish with UH bonus tracks.

Shouldn't it be named after sum-song?

Well it was originally just "41 Sums" because I'm quite uncreative with coming up with names. Then it reminded me of Green Day's 21 Guns, so I just threw in the rest of the lyrics, albeit purposefully wrong to make it just that more ridiculous.

I don't know, I guess I'm old fashioned!

I tried, but the amount of songs I liked before the Underclass Hero era outweighed most of the songs on the album. I would've thrown in the title track, but I already had Subject to Change.

Fair enough, I usually don't throw in the hits in my mixes either because they're overplayed and get boring.
