I know the whole avril thing was kinda sad for deryck and some fans but i think deryck will move on faster than we think cause they will start recording the new album November 1st .

I had a feeling they'd start recording this year.

The recordings of UH started November 6th and the album was ready around February-March, and released July 24th.
So if the progress is similar to UH, the new album will come out next summer.

yeah I'm hoping their quotes are true and they are going the separate ways positively. its best for both of them. I can't wait for all the rumors that are gonna follow this...I think I'll stay off of bandaids for a few days

I visited it today to see the reaction there and i'm glad they are not here.

That's great news. I doubt Deryck would've thrown away all that he worked on since 10 months ago on a marriage that, according to both of them, ended on a positive note.

Yeah...Deryck's pretty good about separating his personal life and his work cause really...Avril is (was) his wife but Sum 41 is his job.

Also, respect the guy for the shit hes going through. Your immediate worry shouldn't have been about a possible delay. However, hearing that recording will be relatively soon is good news.

For sure he has time to make couple of songs about their break up. And well he hasn't written all the lyrics yet so...

The song writing stage is never over, even during recording he might think of the new way to put across the message, the amount of times I've been happy about a song but then changed it because I though of a better way to put it.

yeah I think he's always concentrated on the music first then the lyrics

I actually hope he does write a song about this whole avril thing. maybe "always 2" but darker this time now that she left "I guess you did go, but I'm still there" lol I don't know, I can't help but think about that song now.
