So pretty much everything in this crater found near Mount Bosavi in New Guinea has been isolated for thousands of years. Tons of new and rare species found. Pretty amazing.

funny thing is i read that but when i went to look at the pictures, i thought i read "rat" instead. so when i came to the picture of the rat i thought "What? this isn't that ugly, i mean... its a rat, but...", then i saw the bat and lol'd.

I especially like the bird with the disc at the end of it's tail feathers. It's so awesome.
