Ramadan

Tomorrow is the first day of Ramadan in most of the arabic and Islamic countries.

As compared to solar calendar, the dates of Ramadan vary, moving forward about ten days each year. Ramadhan was the month in which the first verses of the Qur'an were revealed[Qur'an 2:185] to the Prophet Muhammad. Another belief is that Quran was revealed from Al-Lawf al-Makhfooz to Baithul Izza (heavenly sky) in Lailathul Qadru of Ramazan. And it was in full, later it was reveled to Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) part by part over a period of 23 years.

Lawl, I 'fast' everyday. I only really eat one meal a day and that's at like 9PM

Same here, dude. It's mostly because my mom won't cook, if i ask her to cook she just looks at me weird.

old school catholics don't eat meat during lent others give up "vices" like smoking , sex, alcohol during those 40 days and if i rememeber correctly traditionally eating meat on friday was forbidden

mad probs for people who can stick to this, and are doing it for their beliefs and their religion. at this point in my life, I couldn't imagine doing something like this. though I guess it would be different if you were brought up like this then it would be easier.
