Wow, does the Slim have any new features with it?
Or are we just wasting our money buying a smaller PS3?

yea, there really is no point buying one if you already have a PS3. though with the price drop it should attract alot more new people to PS3.

The main new features is that is packages with Firmware 3.0 and that it uses 30% less power and they removed the feature that allowed you a add another Operating System. It's not rerally a console for upgrading more for people that don't own a PS3

I bought a new 250GB PS3 Slim and let my brother keep the old 40GB one. I paid around $350 for it, which is $50 less than when my brother and I bought the 40GB one. I bought a new one because the 40GB had all the space used up on it.

I don't even know what size (GB) mine is, it's a fat, sexy one though!

If you still have the box it might say on there or check in the System Settings or something like that. It would either be a 40, 80 or 160GB one.

Sony let's you upgrade the PS3's hard drive without ruining your warranty. It's quite easy to access and it just uses any standard SATA-2 3Gbps 2.5'' hard drive. I stuck with the Seagate family of hard drives since that's what my PS3 had in it to begin with.
