Cone's Album Club!

CAC #4!
Here's another installment of Cone's Album Club for Aug. 2009. This month was pretty tough. There were only really 2 newer album that I bought and was listening to. the 3rd album is a newer album I bought too but its from 2007. The 1st album on the list is some good friends of mine from Toronto. Billy Talent and their new album III. I think the album has some of best songs they have written yet. 2nd on the list is Airborne Toxic Event. I was pretty surprised with this album. I thought judging by the first single the whole album was going to be mellow but I was surprised its pretty upbeat and rockin'. Good album. 3rd on the list is from 2007 and its Elvis Costello with a collection of songs from the first 10 years of his career. All the songs are actually picked by him which is cool to see what his favorites are. Well thats it till next month:

First album club was the best because of The Gaslight Anthem.

Agree, i like the Gaslight Anthem. But i'm currently in LOVE with Billy Talent's new record!
So this list's good too.

Billy Talent III is a kickass album.
But Cone's taste is definitely weird at times, like when he recommended a Duffy album and a K-OS album. Those are weird. But other than that he recommended more cool punk stuff like Rancid, Gaslight Anthem and now Billy Talent.

I don't really like Billy Talen, sure they are awesome musicans but it's not really my type of music.

THis ones way better for Elvis Costello! Billy talent dont often go wrong either
