it's summer 2009 now and it's a another full year?! WHAT THE CRAP!!!!!!!! this is insane, I really can't take this anymore. even worse, he said it's not like chuck, just a little darker. yeah I was hoping for metal.........this has not been a good day

I thought it was well-known it's not going to be like Chuck? And Deryck writing metal songs? Didn't even cross my mind.

But yeah, the summer release. Not long ago it was coming late '09 / early '10, now it's postponed to summer?

that was a nice interview, sad to hear the record is being pushed back to summer, but if its good then its worth it. Guess when I told deryck to take his time he took it to the extreme meaning..lol

The EP was. The album was to come "late 2009".

Damn this is annoying. Well, I'm really not worried about the album. We all know its not gonna be Chuck or something but hell, its darker and Brown Tom is in it and he's great (just listen to the sick riffs and solos on Gob's latest album Muertos Vivos) and I bet the album will kick ass. But it really sucks its only coming in the next summer. Steve said it could be sooner or later, so hopefully it will be sooner, maybe at least next spring or around March, something like that, that wouldn't be so bad. If its gonna be in mid-summer, like UH was in the end of July, it will suck big time, cuz thats a whole year of waiting and after listening to the latest Billy Talent album too much, I need new Sum 41 songs in my life!!

I think anything by Sum 41 is worth the wait.

You always keep saying this. Where have you found that it was Tom? I've always thought the solos and the heavy stuff is played by Theo Goutzinakis, the lead guitarist. Yeah, Tom wrote the songs, but so did Deryck and still Dave played the solos and the heavy stuff?

maybe when it comes out, we'll be thanking deryck for taking this long.
