ok, i understand how "easy" it is to install windows on a mac. my question is, should i wait for windows 7 to come out, install the old RC of windows 7, or just install plain vista on my mac for bootcamp?
kthanks

My experiance with bootcamping vista is terrible.
XP = Tried and Tested.
No idea about windows 7, but chances are it'll be similar to vista :S

I could argue all day with what is wrong with Vista.
The only reasons I run Windows Vista is for DirectX10.1 and because I have a Core i7 with 12GB of RAM and I can run it without a problem, although I will admit most of the problems with Vista are either fixed or can be tweaked by adjusting settings now.

Try OpenOffice.Org as an alternative to Office

Mac version of office runs better on macs than the windows version runs on windows. and openoffice is fully compatable.

I recently got rid of office and I am now using OpenOffice along with Thunderbird with the Sunbird Lightening Add-on. I got so pissed at Office 2007 taking up 500MB of my Hard Drive and OpenOffice in my opinion is a pretty good substitute for MS Office.
I recommend trying it out since it is free anyway.
EDIT: And OpenOffice.org can open the new 2007 file formats [.docx etc]
