So, idk why I thought the album came out the 17th but I'm glad I got it cleared up!

So I got my order confirmation of Blood In My Eyes from iTunes today. Also, the pre-order for the album is back up, but I still can't pre-order it.

lots of people voted Reason to Believe in the looking forward to topic. it seems kind of weird because imo the track title is one of the most boring. Did we hear a section that we know if Reason to Believe in one of the album production videos? and that's why everyones looking forward to it heaps?

I can't speak for everyone, so I'll just tell you my reason for wanting to hear it. There might be spoilers in this so I'll just tag it up.

The song contains a piece of music from a studio update that I've been eager to hear since I first heard it. It's the piano melody in Studio "Updeight"

I believe it is also the first song Deryck wrote for the album (I heard this from someone, I think it was Tomi). There's a drum beat in it that was apparently an old Chuck demo and I think a lot of people might be interested in that. Finally, there's some stomping/clapping part in it that accompanies the drums, I'm not really sure, it was in that interview with Alan Cross.

i think that cone also mentioned he really likes the song too. but the fact that they're making an acoustic version of the song means something, though i'm not really sure what. that and i always expect/hope that an album's first track is strong.

i am kind of happy though that blood in my eyes was released instead because if i heard reason to believe, then by the time the album leaks/releases, i'd have to wait three tracks before i hear a song i've never heard before. sure, there's a skip button, but i want to hear the album as a whole too. not that i wouldn't listen to any leaked songs if they were available.

i also like the song title, even though pennywise named an album 'reason to believe' also. (i don't remember, i think sum 41 likes pennywise, or knew them from warped tour, or something). i'm hoping this song has some political/social meaning that isn't as personal as blood in my eyes.

when i saw sum 41 in 2007 (i think it was) in australia they toured with Pennywise. So I assume they're on good terms. although blinks tour with green day didn't really mean they were friends as we found out afterwards...but yeah

oh and thanks for your opinions on reason to believe. i do like that piano part a fair bit, and i forgot to think about that it is the first song on the album, so you would hope it's one of the best on there

I can confirm that those in the UK who pre-order Screaming Bloody Murder from iTunes DO NOT receive 'Reason To Believe (acoustic)' immediately. Just tested it out myself and so far nothing has been downloaded. Will let you know if that changes.
