I hope they pull a Biffy and release an entire album of b-sides. Call it, "The Cone Sessions," haha!

That's true! Sum 41 didn't really have any "real" b-sides until Chuck. I remember when I first discovered them when I was 14 or 15. It was magical. Though, I think this album they have a lot of extra material. Cone has at least two songs written during this album (three if you count that one from 2008... "it's still getting mixed and it's coming out soon!"). On top of that there's songs that Deryck has written.

Oh well, there's still over a month left to discover the rest of the b-sides. I hope this news is right because I posted it on all the TNS-related pages!

The show was awesome.

I won a Meet n Greet, so I managed to meet the band in the backstage

I will not describe my experience but I can share a pic if you want.

Interesting part:
I made some questions to the band.

ME - Will be an official music video for Screaming Bloody Murder?
Stevo - Yes.

ME - When?
Stevo - In March, when we get back from Australia.

ME - Favorite Song from the new album?
Stevo - Blood In My Eyes
Cone - Blood In My Eyes
Tom - Well, I have a new favorite now. It's a song called Sick of Everyone. I love the lyrics.

ME - Favorite Song from the new album? Screaming Bloody Murder?
Deryck - Hmmm...I don't know. I like the whole album. You have to hear the whole thing.

They were very nice. Stevo is so fucking funny :devious:
AH!! I said I was a TNS.com member of course and Stevo said something like "wow, that's cool man" while punching my arm. LOL :devious:

I'm glad you got to meet them!

btw wasn't Sick of Everyone the song that Cone wrote?

i think cone wrote "like everyone else" but i could be mistaken.

i'm hoping for a lot of b-sides. i really thought the band recorded 16-20 songs for this one so even if not all of them fit the album (musically) i hope they're released as b-sides. usually when bands do that, i throw the b-sides at the end of the album and listen to the album as that, though i think i might remove the acoustic reason to believe because of repetition. but if it's a matter of b-sides not fitting with the sound of the album, i thought this album was supposed to be varied in sound and have a mix of different genres. i'm interested in hearing "time for you to go" and "baby you don't want to know" because they sound like attempts at a new style. of course sometimes an attempt at a new style has to be practiced before being released as studio material (like a thousand suns) but i think sum 41 with their energy and ability, can probably pull it off.

i'm also hoping for that "i don't believe in ignorance ourselves we deceive" part in a b-side. it seems like a waste to throw away something that we've remembered throughout the cd recording sessions.

also on a random note, my history of mathematics professor really looks like stevo

and i also think the tracklist at this point could be finalized and they're just not releasing it. with the album cover done, they could have done the back cover artwork too, which usually contains a tracklist. but i think i'm just getting impatient. there's only a few track names i want to change what am i to say, crash, over now, exit song.

i find it really fucked up how we know that a couple tracks are titled incorrectly, but yet every track listing released so far hasn't changed.
