I can't really say the same right now. I have to stay awake for about four more hours. This is torture pretty much.

I can guarantee you they sound awesome.
I haven't seen them on the UH-tour (they didn't come to Belgium), but when I watched the live videos and I mean the professionale live videos, they kinda sucked. There wasn't enough power in their performances, I don't know.
It's all gone now, they rule.
Concering the new album:
Today is their last show of the European tour, but they will be back in one month. After that, they will be doing the Warped Tour all summer long. So, I'm wondering: will the mixing be done when they leave for the Warped Tour? We all know how Deryck wants the things to be perfect etc, so I would find it strange if he wasn't there when the album was being mixed. So there isn't that much time left..
So far August 10 sounded realistic to me as a release date. But after I checked their tour schedule, I have my doubts. From the 5th till the 11th of August, there are no shows planned, that's a fact. But July is full of shows, so when are they going to do all the promo stuff than? Not only on the Warped Tour, right? There are a lot of fans in Europe as well, so they probably have to cruise over.

All i know is, everything BETTER be ready to be sent off by the time they leave for warped.
My plan would have been... Get the album almost finished by warped, and promote it that entire tour. When it is released, have a world tour.
Oh, and a SMALL foreign tour before the release. Possibly the EU again.

It better be, indeed.
As the salesman said to me, they're planning on a world tour, but he was thinking around November, but that's kinda late imo. They probably will be on tour in November, but it just won't start in November.

Prolly not. I thought they kicked off a world tour weeks before the release.

If they work their asses off, then they'll get the rest of the songs recorded in no time and the rest can be left for mixing and mastering.
But does the band (as in Deryck) need to be present during the mixing and mastering process? I really doubt it if it takes two or three months to do it all, because they'll already be doing Warped, right?

That's true, with Underclass Hero it was Deryck that was producing the album and that's why he was at the mixing and mastering but this time it's Gil Norton that producing the album and maybe Deryck puts his faith in him.

I'm hoping so, otherwise it seems like there may be some major date push backs.
The five or so songs Cone and Stevo returned to the studio to record. Were those songs worked on during Pre-Production? I'm assuming they're B-Sides if they were recorded afterward, so Gil doesn't need to worry about those songs?

I actually highly doubt they'll work their asses off. I really hope they do, but I'm not hoping for it actually.
Maybe Deryck puts his faith in Gil. Maybe he does. But I don't think so either. The album has to sound the way he wants it to sound.

Yeah, mixing has huge impact on sound so I doubt that Deryck wouldn't be there.

These would be good questions to ask at the Deryck chat on May 8th.
"Deryck... WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH THIS ALBUM??? Ktnxbai."

I'd really like to know why Steve came to Perfect Sound to record drums and why did they record some last minute songs.

I don't know, but this album was so different from UH.
With UH they exactly knew what they wanted to do, what they wanted to record and how they wanted to do it.
With this album, I'm feeling like, I don't know, they have no idea how it's gonna be, what songs there are gonna be on or whatsoever. Deryck just keeps on writing and writing and changing the songs.
Remember him saying there were like 20 songs written? They only recorded 14 so far. But now they went back into the studio, recording other (maybe new?) songs, tour in the meanwhile and so on and so on.
It looks kinda hectic and less 'planned' like UH was.

Yeah.. Maybe a huge tour in the middle was a bad idea. Just a thought.

We, and Deryck.. Want this to be the best album ever. I respect that, but i need something fast. And by august.
Remember, we'll listen to this album for many, many years to come. We'll forget we even had to wait. I

That's true. I hardly remember waiting for Underclass Hero. I just checked the official site one day it said to buy March of the Dogs off iTunes, then the Underclass Hero Podcast leak, then the Universal Japan 45 second samples, then Walking Disaster on the radio, then Count Your Last Blessings leaked... and finally the whole album.
There was a lot that was there to hold me over back then.
As long as the album gets released this year, I'm happy. Though I would really like a new song or two to leak or be available on iTunes within the next three months.
