Where have you been?

I very rarely check the updates, I knew he was recording the vocals somehwere else (his own studio?) but I was just under the impression he was gonna finish the vocals before he headed out on tour!

WHAT?!! I thought he was done weeks ago! Why the hell were they recording last minute songs/ bsides if they weren't even done with the vocals for the actual songs? AHHH!!!


On another note August 10th sounds reasonable. Someone should make the album have it's own wikipedia page.

Don't remember where, but D said he'll finish recording the vocals after they come back from Europe.
And in this recent French interview he said he has completed 6-7 songs.

There were some setbacks with Deryck having sore throat and so.
That's why he hasn't remained in schedule for recordings.
Plus the fact that he had to celebrate his birthday a bit.

We shouldn't make a wikipedia page until it has at least a name.

We probably won't hear new songs on this tour. I PM'ed Cone on his Operation-myspace about the Belgian show and this is what he said:

"Cool. That festival is going to be great. Awesome bands. Not sure we will play a new song. Might just do a greatest hits set. The new songs aren't really ready to play live yet."

I really hope they play a few on their next EU tour. I'd love the feeling to hear the song live before it's even released.
Just like they did last time with King Of Contradiction and Confusion And Frustration.

I had thought a few things weren't finished. But only 6 songs are done? Fuck, dude. Now their on tour. I dunno what's going on. This is a total clusterfuck!

Sum 41 is "Verified" on twitter now, lol.

So these 6 or 7 songs that are done... they're mixed and mastered, 100% complete? The rest just need some vocals and mixing/mastering?

the 6 or 7 songs that are done probably arent mixed and mastered yet. they dont mix and master the whole album until they are done recording everything.

Then nothing is really done yet.. mixing takes at least another month or two... mastering though should be pretty fast, a week or two max.

Has anybody been watching the live videos? I swear, they better release a live DVD this year. Or at least in the next two!

I never liked We're all to blame live, but after i watched them at the "rock hall" i do.

EDIT: Seriously, I'm about to make a thread to bring attention to how orgasmic they've became. Paint it black is awesome, everything is great. They're giving me chills. I must see them, new song or not.

I have a problem with watching live videos that people record with their digital camera's or phones. I just don't have the patience for it unless it were a new song. I saw one video of The Hell Song and it sounded like the guitar tone had improved a lot since Summer Sonic 2007, so I'm interested in watching this live stream later.
