Fair enough that you guys aren't into them...but to be honest, Chris Martin is an incredibly talented songwriter.
I'm not really into them myself, but they have a LOT more talent than a lot of the shit modern music out there. I'm jusssttt saying.

well yeah i have to agree, the songwriting isn't bad at all, but they could perform it a lot better way.
I mean, i like listening to Oasis from time to time, you know, when i'm bored and stuff, and they're in the same genre with Coldplay and IMO, they write and perform a lot better than Coldplay.

THATS WHAT I SAID!
But nobody agreed with me :(
Also, Best Of Me is the same melody as The Reason By Hoobastank.
i agree...but best of me is SOOOO much better!

I dunno, man, they gotta be doing something right to sellout that many huge concert all the time haha. I know people who've seen them too - and have said the concerts are unbelievable. (if that's the kind of performing you mean?)
But yeah. Not everyone likes every genre. And we can certainly all agree, whether we like or respect Coldplay or not, that them touring with Sum 41 would be hilarious and ridiculous haha

is it me or does the end of 88 sound like the middle section of Raining blood by Slayer?

They don't sound alike at all really, but Sorry by Unwritten Law inspired Over My Head by Sum 41.

it was also inspired by Better Off Dead by Bad Religion.
I'm not sure if it was musically or lyric wise.

im beginging to think that Look at Me was inspired by John Lennon's Look At Me.
besides the titles being the same, they have the same opening lyrics ("Look at me/ Who am I supposed to be"), and they are both acoustic,
it seems as though Deryck piggy-backed off those lyrics. you really can't ignore the fact that both the opening and clossing songs of UH have a connection to John Lennon.

I don't know if this has been on here before but So Long Goodbye and Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) By Green Day are somewhat similar. Both are like "saying goodbye" songs and both are just acoustic with no drums. And both of them have fiolin "solo". (I don't know what instrument it is actually

)

...Erm, yes. We've all noticed this, lol.
Same with So Long, Goodbye, but I think that the comparisons there are really stupid. OH MY GOD they both have acoustic guitar and strings. WHOA.

it just seemed like, when i read your comment you soundd like a bitchy-know-it-all making fun of me for: A) not reading all 5 damned pages B) not being around when you possibly talked about it (i have a life you know) and C) just finding out that there is a Jonh lennon song called Look at Me.
i only found out about it when i was looking for Finger Eleven on youtube and i came across their cover of that John Lennon song.
and johnny is (half) right, stop being aknow it all. when a noob comes on here asking something that everyone knows, don't talk to him like he is an idiot. just remember that you were like him once. give people some slack.
and Johnny, stop getting in the way of other people's affaris that do not concern you.
