I'll kill myself if they choose to record at Ocean Way again.
Also, I don't think it would matter if Gob was doing a show the night before Sum 41 hit the studio because Stevo is usually the first to record. And I don't know if Deryck would end up recording all the guitar parts anyway since he probably wrote most of them?
Anyway:
Last day of 10 days of rehearsals. We'll all get back together at the end of Nov. to practice more and start Pre Production for the album.
From the main site:
Today was the last day of about 10 days of rehearsals in LA. We mainly concentrated on about 8 or 9 songs. I think Steve is happy to done for bit so he doesn't have to drive 2 or 3 hours everyday from Long Beach. We did a little photo shoot today too with our friend John Asher. We should be able to post some new pics pretty soon. Tom and I go home tomorrow. We will be coming back down to the sun in about 3 or 4 weeks to practice some more and start Pre Production for the album. Deryck and I went and saw a studio today that was pretty cool. Could be a potential place to record the new record. It was pretty awesome. Thats about it. Everythings going good and the new songs are turning out pretty fuckin' awesome and aggressive. I think all our fans will like this album a lot. Can't wait to record and then get back on tour! Till then........... talk to you all soon.

Yeah, it took me forever to figure it out. I had to modify it like 15 times. And I'm also wtf-ing about this recording thing.

Damn that sucks... they said recording starts on November 1st, and now pre-production in late November?! WTF! If pre-production only starts in around late November, then recording could be delayed up until January or February even, unless they do all pre-production quick... I wonder if all the songs for the new album are complete if they decided to only practice 8-9 songs... I guess those are the only ones 100% finished. That sucks! I guess the album will be coming no earlier then summer 2010 if not later ><

Hahahaha, i dunno man.
They did say November 1st, though. I dunno whats goin on. Deryck will prolly review what HE thinks of all the songs they practiced, and he will try to make them better.
When they get back together, they will do the rest of the album, and then, go into pre-pro and then into the studio.
So fuckdammit, this is gonna be a while.

i hope this is not gonna delay the upcoming gob album, like did the last one with the by a thread album tom producing. by a thread hasn't released that album yet-still.

Either way, it sucks. If we had even the slightest hope for an early summer or even spring release for the album... its gone now. Its definitely coming out around the mid summer if not late summer or early autumn. I mean, pre-production in the end of November, I guess recording will only begin around late December or January.

Unless they are gonna use material from demos, which is possible.

I don't understand why Cone and Tom have to be gone for three to four weeks before coming back down to LA to practice again. I'm assuming Gob and Operation MD stuff?
I also don't understand that they'll just be starting pre-production at the end of November. What were all those studio update videos for? I would've assumed that had something to do with pre-production.

Well, I guess the studio "updates" were just from rehearsals and stuff and apparently nothing has happened except rehearsals for the new songs... which sucks, which means pre-production, then recording, then mixing & mastering... it may take for more than half a year now.
I guess Cone and Tom leaving cuz both are leaving in Canada so I guess they really better off to spend those 3-4 weeks doing something useful at home... hopefully Tom working on the new Gob album to be released sometime in 2010, and Cone with the Operation MD, although their album is mixed & mastered and is all ready, so whats up with that... last update from OpMD was that they are looking for a label to put out the record, maybe Cone will get to that now and release the OpMD album for now!

Yeah, well like I've said before, if it means this album will be better than Underclass Hero (that's a given) and even Chuck or Does This Look Infected? then I guess it would be worth the wait. I just wish the dates wouldn't change so much, haha.
