goals do count in the attempts/on target stats. it's just that Arsenal's goal came from an own goal, so as Arsenal didn't have the chance/shoot it doesn't count as an attempt.

if all goes well he might only miss 3 league games and be back for the Man City game.

I also believe so ...there is so many injuries where they say the player's gonna miss 4 weeks and after 2,3 weeks he's alright ...I hope for the same scenario in the case of Gerrard

Well, Rangers never got gubbed. Quite surprised at that. Rangers don't tend to be a good defensive team.

Just watching the Spurs game now, looking forward to the last ten minutes.
With Bale and Van Der Vaart coming back to full fitness they're looking like a force to be reckoned with in the next round.

it amazes me how well Bale does in the Champions League yet can can be shit in the league at times. it also amazes me how people think he's one of the best players in the world! did Capello honestly say he thinks he's the best player in the world right now?!

Bale is a good player, let's say he's the best IN HIS POSITION, but best player in the world? Of course not.
And Capello knows shit, and his word should never be taken into consideration.

Capello is full of shit, Messi and Ronaldo are the best players in the world and nobody in the premier league right now can come near them.
I wouldn't rate Bale as the best in his position until he starts to show some consistency. He'll play an amazing game against a Milan team on a Wednesday evening, then spend the following Sunday afternoon in Rory Delap's pocket.
In other news: I am delighted Antonio Valencia is back for United - hope he can settle in quickly. I believe they'll win the league this year, but if they're to have any chance in Europe, they'll need Valencia and Nani at their very best once they're both back fit.
I was reading on another forum yesterday and came across a poster saying this United XI would be good enough to stand a chance against Barcelona:
Van Der Sar
Rafael Vidic Ferdinand Evra
Valencia Fletcher Anderson Nani
Rooney
Hernandez
I tend to agree. I'm not saying they'd beat Barca, but they'd certainly give them a good game and make a good account of themselves.
