I was @ the Munich show last night, after that we waited near the tour bus to sneak a peek of the band. Suddenly Stevo came around to sign autographs, so we had a smalltalk asking him if they'll be back in europe in 2010. He answered that the album will release August 10th so they will touring around by the end of this year/beginning of the new year.

I don't know how drunk he was but I think not that much .

That sounds realistic imo, but we never know.

Things can get pushed back and pushed back and pushed back, and maybe he was just saying some date? Who knows?

sounds about right, though that will be a provisional date at the minute for the label, obviously the album could be pushed back for whatever reason.

still great to hear some sort of date at last though!

But, it'll leak about a month sooner than that. We'll hear this album before August.

might not, depends how strictly they distribute the album to the media/reviewers before the release. I doubt it as this album isn't a huge money maker for the label, but it's possible.

Yeah, I'm sure Island/Def jam is doing just fine without Sum 41 doing anything. But that first single better be really good, I'm running very spare on patience for this band right now.

Hmm.. Anybody know how long it usually takes for a single to drop after an album is complete?

it's different for every band really. it depends when they plan on releasing the single before the album comes out. when they plan on start giving it to radio stations for air time. sometimes the band will put the first single on the internet themselves ages in advance (like the Gaslight Anthem)

Wiki said Underclass Hero, the single, was leaked April 23, on a radio station. A month before the release. We'll probably have a juicy single sometime in July, if all goes like that.

Problem i see is, when the fuck is Deryck ever going back to the studio?
