yeah, some things I've heard him say in interviews concern me a bit. He says he's happy, but he doesn't sound like it or look like it as he did during 04-08. But again, his life, nothing we can do about it. Avril's all screwed up too.

anyone else like the chuck look the best? i mean granted he was relly serious and gloomy, but it was easily his most real look yet.

Me! I love it almost as much as his look now. I love just about any look, Deryck can pull off anything. Theres just something about the Chuck look that I loved. Especially in the Pieces music video.

It'll follow the feel of the album. So I'm guessing if not blonde/brown hair, then he'll at least make himself look a bit healthier with those black spikes. The reason for them all (D especially) looking so gloomy is mainly because SBM is a real dark album. It's probably the darkest album I've heard - not heaviest, just gloomy, sinister and really fucked.

I agree, just like when Deryck is reading that Jesus letter he got in the studio update and was like "This is PHUCK'd!"
I think the same about SBM, in a good way, in a damn fucking good way

Really, the band's image reflects Deryck's image, which reflects the album, which reflects Deryck's general mood. And I think within the past few years this has been a real rollercoaster. I'm just hoping we get more of the good ol' traditional punk-rock Sum 41 in the future. As much as I like this dark, fucked appearance the band has adopted recently, it's gonna loose its appeal soon. Deryck's health too is a sign that they can't/won't go on like this.
