MCR is a great band and I love all their first three albums ...and Skumfuk really sounds a little bit like MCR...and SBM just sounds like Sum 41 again ...maybe just the sound and the darkness in the background is a little bit alike

I have to say that something in the vocal melody of the chorus really kinda reminds of a song by MCR, can't figure what song it is, but since i'm not really a fan of MCR, it might be of their good songs actually haha cuz I remember this vocal line and all, and it sounds familiar like a song I used to like.

Skumfuk doesn't remind me anything from MCR to be honest.

And about last 2 pages of "best songwriter" discussion - pointless..

Yes it was pointless, however i must offer Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Freddie Mercury and Steve Harris as the worlds all time best. Skumfuk is more similar to MCR than SBM but both have a Sum 41 edge, the style and darkness of this new sound is confusing Sum 41 with MCR and it's ridiculous, musically NO, lyrically possibly a bit more

Don't really trust ordering anything without a photo and what not, but this seems pretty awesome! Want.
Just bought it from CDJapan, I heard many good things about thie website, guess you can order it without any risks
I'm probably going to pre-order it there as well.. if I select the fastest shiping method I will have the copy in my hands on March 26th
I can't remember if I got the fastest shipping from there, but when I pre-ordered UH there, it arrived before it was released in the US.

I selected the fastest shipping, and I'm pretty sure it will arrive before the 29th. The thing is, shipping costs nearly as mush as the album :D

I'll just pick it up in the UK on release date but I'm sure the album will get leaked and put on youtube before then anyway.

In 2 days is the listening party, do you think that anything can leak?

I don't think anything will leak. If anything leaks, it will probably be of very poor quality anyway, not worth it I think.

Probably, yes.
It's popular to be a "Source" nowadays.

I'm hoping these Japs do leak something, it's harsh to say but BFS new record is coming out in May and there are already 4/5 leaked songs or something. But as you say it's not worth it if the quality is bad.

So you're wishing for leaks? I'd rather avoid them as much as possible.

I'd listen to 1/2 leaked songs at the most, so not so much that it ruins the album for me before I get it, but just enough that it satisfies my curiosity, although if they leak within 2/3 weeks of the albums release, I wont bother.

I will definately wait until I have a physical copy in my hands. Skumfuk, SBM and a possible second single is more than enough to keep me excited.
I don't care if that means I have to lock myself in the bathroom for 2 weeks.

asshole kid who doesn't know good music wrote:New song is horrible :S thanks now I'm in depression because of that awful new sum shit. miss all killer no filler one and chuck :(
and I said,
Anthony wrote:seriously dude?!?! If you hate this song then just listen to their old albums. This one is going to be heavier and darker, so if you don't like this song, don't bother buying the album.
What is wrong with this kid?! How can you miss two completely different albums? One is pop punk and the other is metal punk. SBM is on the lines of Chuck, and he doesn't like it?!?!?!?!

Oh and what cracks me up is that he wanted to add me as a friend! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It kind of pisses me off when people say bands need to "make another of this album." The most I see is Green Day's Dookie and Sum 41's All Killer No Filler. Those were good albums when they came out, but I wouldn't want them to go back to doing the exact same thing. People need to stop living in the past and accept that there will never be an All Killer No Filler 2.

Now the thing about Deryck's songwriting... I'm not sure how he ranks up with all the artists I listen to, but everyone has a different style that does something different to you when you listen to them. For example, I can't compare Deryck Whibley with Brian Fallon from The Gaslight Anthem. Brian's songs are a lot of narratives while most of Deryck's songs are kind of in the moment. I like them for different reasons and think they're good for different reasons. Deryck has a great sense of melody and it shows with every album. The whole thing with the harmonies and background vocals is cool, though a lot of it goes unnoticed with exceptions to songs like Pull the Curtain. Although, I've heard bands do the triple vocals thing like in No Brains before. Blink-182 does it in Feeling This.

Also, I just wanted to throw my two cents in for Blink-182; while they started out as mediocre songwriters that had a just had a knack for pop melodies, they grew into better songwriters by the self-titled album. No song on that album is the same, even though some songs share a same melody (ending of Easy Target to segue into the guitar for All of This). The lyrics were more poetic and it was like they were a different band (especially the first time I heard Violence). I'm not saying they're incredible, but they did improve a vast amount.

Anyway, on the topic of Screaming Bloody Murder, I hope no more songs leak from the album. If anything were to leak before March 29th, I would hope for the album in its entirety. Songs leaking one by one would probably ruin the listening experience for me.

exactly.. I don't want to ruin my "first time listening experience" by some shitty audio by cellphone, because I know I wouldn't hold myself not to download it for 2 months. So I hope there will be NOTHING leaked after this listening. I just want to wait till 23th/29th March, with badass Screaming Bloody Murder single.
