ya one of the questions cone answered on their website, someone asked if they had a new album coming out, and he said "we are releasing a new album, hopefully this year."
it doesnt sound like he's too sure when itll come...but i assume itll be out this year. and hopefully they have a really good single or something so it isnt lost in the other albums and people check it out

It might actually be better for Sum's profits if they release it before, or a while after Blink and GD release theirs. Everything wouldn't have gone crazy yet or died down.

^You're right! Otherwise they'd be drowned by the crowd and stuff...

Well, we know they've already done 6-7 songs, probably more... So it shouldn't take TOO long.

Wow seriously? Listen to Muse, that is what deep is, try figuring it out... :suicide:
I actually do listen to Muse. :silly: They are deep. But UH's lyrics mean a lot more to me, lol.

I seriously doubt The Sums' album would be released around fall. I'm hoping they would release it a bit before Blink and GD. If they released it after them, they'd get way less attention, don't you think?

In any case blink and GD will steal the spotlight.

Definitely, unless this new record is almost the best Sums album ever. (Which I also seriously doubt)

Nah, this could be their best album. Coming Home with New Found was just okay like UH but their new album is really cool. Why can't Sum do the same?

^Yeah, me too. And I hope they'll release it before summer. Or at least before GD and Blink.

They can release it at the moment but it still wouldn't be the big topic. This year is for GD and Blink. Not that i am that sad about cause I like blink better but still.

This is most likely what they'll do.

take too long in the studio, I'm expecting this album summer of NEXT year.

Not give enough updates, we know they're in the studio, we need lyrics/demo/video/SOMETHING.

God, I hope they don't hang out in the studio too long. I was hoping they'd take a different approach to this album than with Underclass Hero and see how they do.

Unless Sum 41 writes some anthem like Fat Lip, their new album will be minor compared to Green Day's and Blink-182's. Especially if they release it after May, which is when Green Day plans to release their album.

If anything, Sum 41 needs to release a single early this year (April?) and hope that it's a hit.

We dont even know what these 3 bands are going to come up with ..for all we know all 3 albums could suck (which i doubt), or one could be better than the other 2 and so on....

Green Day's CD could be amazing, or be a total flop. same with Blink 182. i doubt Sum 41's new CD could flop worse that Underclass Hero.

Their riffs made them unique. They need to get those backk.

Maybe they'll play new songs at the shows coming up.

That would be the smart thing to do, so I'm better no.

I doubt it as much as i doubt that Deryck wrote all those riffs.

Yeah it was prolly all Brownsound's work.

I hope they don't have another anthem song. But personally, of course, I'm going to most probably choose Sum 41's album as my top one of the year.

Yeah, I don't think they'll throw out another Fat Lip anytime soon. Actually, the title track Underclass Hero was the attempt to have that anthem song and it's basically Fat Lip 2.
