Looks like the band's reverting back to writing songs under an Infected/Chuck-era schedule as evidenced by the generic lyrics.

However, I believe good lyrics can't save bad music, but good music can save bad lyrics.

In other words,

It may be the magic of listening to a new song, but I like this song better than anything on Underclass Hero.

Now I can't wait for that new B-Side track!!

cool. yeah bass has definitely been pumped up in volume compared to UH. not too sure bout a totally awesome cone bass line but defo some slides have been slid in this time

After a couple of listens, no it isn't their greatest but it definetly isn't their worst.

It's a nice song and a very different side of Sum41. Better than some of the songs on UC, I'd be happy if they'd replaced 'best of me' with 'always'.

Random question but, this is on the greatest hits right? What happened to Steering Wheels? Has that become Always or are we still expecting Steering Wheels?

I feel realy bad for saying it but I think this is realy mediocre. Very epic and everyhting but I dont realy dig this. Its prety plain that this was a song from the UH sessions. Saying this however, I still recon this song is beter than best of me or a few of the other weeker songs from UH. Hopefully itl grow on me but I cant see it happening.

Sum 41 has never been the best lyrical band. Fat Lip can argue with that, but the song sounds almost like a joke type song that somehow ended up sounding decent. I guess a lot of the older songs can sound like they were jokes that just ended up somehow sounding decent enough to put on record. I think when they started trying to get a bit harder, they lost a lot of focus on lyrics because the first lyrics you heard were thought of by guys who were most likely very young. When they started trying to be taken seriously, and started writing like it, the flaws in the bands lyrics become apparent. They are very good at putting together catchy songs, and the lyrics always work well together it seems... but even on Underclass Hero you're given the idea that they are very uninspired. They've always been a lot better musically than they were lyrically to me.
