Yes, it was. But the show was Headliners, Simple Plan...Opened by Sum 41. It wasnt' like, all-day, multi-stage festivals or anything. It was one show a day, at night...and Simple Plan headlined while Sum 41 opened :P

I'd play a show with simple plan by choice. So i can leave in the middle of the show during a cool song and piss everyone off and come back and tell em to throw rocks at simple plan..

I don't follow the feuding, it's a little past my time as a 41 fan - so I really havent' a clue. All I've ever actually seen was Pierre saying something about Avril being a whore or something on muchmusic once... But yeah it wouldn't surprize me if Deryck pulled a diva and refused to play a show with Simple Plan...
But yeah. The band has to agree to a show for the show to go down. If they REALLY OMGSOSOMUCH hated Simple Plan (at that point, at least) they would have refused. Or at the VERY least, demanded to be the headliners/to have very seperate quarters backstage - which they didn't even have. Their trailers were within 30 feet of each other.

They were feuding WHILE you were a Sum 41 fan. It's died down almost completely now. I remember we had an extended convo about it on SumPieces... which you weren't on. Nevermind. When we found out that Sum 41 and Simple Plan had played a show together, we will shocked because of their feud.
Anyway, the two bands said some pretty shitty stuff about each other from, like, 2003-2005. There was some clear animosity. Avril actually had some pretty thick ties with Simple Plan, and they were completely cut off when she started dating Deryck.
