Did they play the older songs before or after the actual performance seen on TV?

Had read that (how else would I have known they were playing more than just SBM and Skumfuk?), but wasn't sure if that was the correct order or not. Just seemed that the 10 minute commercial (before SBM had aired) would have given them enough time to play those 3 other songs.

Didn't mean to bring out some anger.

The show is pre-recorded though, so I don't think it would've mattered.

That's how the setlist went. After Skumfuk, the cameras stopped recording and they let Sum 41 do their thing.

I got an erection when I saw what I thought was a vinyl copy of SBM. This album would sound INCREDIBLE on Vinyl!

It didn't beat "Walking disaster" at Leno though :winkwink:
I'd say it did, by far. His vocals were off key a bit at that performance and the sound wasn't quite as brilliant as JKL. I wish they recorded all the songs, because we've been getting so many bad webcasts lately. The MTV Winter performance was poorly engineered as well, although Cone's backing vocal madness did make Fat Lip a lot of fun to watch.

energy was a little week for sbm, sound engineering was terrible, skumfuk was better, but i wish they'd play it the album way, with the intro and piano

Let me tell you what was actually terrible: Those pathetic extreme sports event webcasts.

Name one thing wrong with the sound engineering on JKL. I studied this shit for 2 years and just from listening to the drum sound, you can tell these guys at least know what they're doing (Sum 41 always sounded great on JKL).
The only things I can find is that Cone's mic didn't seem to be in the broadcast mix (people commented it was on the PA though) and may be Deryck could have been a bit louder (both guitar and vocals) and have some reverb. Everything else sounds great. It's not perfect, but show me an engineer who can deliver constant perfect sound in a live situation and I'll show you a liar.

Tom's mic seems to be distorted/autotuned/whatever the fuck that is

I don't hear anything wrong with Toms vocals. It just seems like they are using different mics these days, may be that's what you describe as distorted. They sound a little dirtier and low-fi.

Just watched the video. The vocals were really bad.. either a lot of adrenaline going or he couldn't hear himself. The vocals were very quiet.

The vocals were actually quite good, imo the best performance Deryck did on those two songs. It's not his fault, they weren't loud enough in the final mix.

I think that's best they've sounded in ages, wish they were mixed as decent as that all time, just all that they need is to be mixed and setup right and they sound great, although vocals were slightly off in bits but Deryck's mic wasn't loud enough probably.

I wish they would get that big, tight sound back Live again like had during DTLI era, I know brownsound is no longer there, but from that JK performance there, they sounded almost perfect
