Yeah I've noticed while studying Swedish that the grammar is quite similiar to English. That's probably why I find Swedish pretty easy to learn.Emil wrote:Lucky me i'm living in one of those countries that talk another germanic language which means i have relatively easy for english.
my english teacher is irish his accent is pretty neutral, tbh Uk accent sounds weird if you're not used , evry language has it's accents for example people from barcelona had lots of trouble with my catalan cos i'm from the south and we speak faster and pronounce words in a different wayCUNT wrote:there's quite a few accents accross the UK that are quite hard to understand when spoken fast, like Scottish, Scouse, Geordie. The Irish are a nightmare to understand when their accent is strong too. I sound like a farmer boy

I was even better in English than in German (my mother language) but that was probably due to my lack of interest for literature. I always liked English for it's sound and today it almost feels like my mother language, although I rarely actually speak English. I pretty much only write in English.geeinglat wrote:I can't understand a damn thing in Spanish and Spanish is very close to Portuguese (my mother language). My grades in school are from 0 to 100. I always get 100 in english and about 70 in spanish and portugese haha
Yeah, me too. I speak english in my english classes, my teacher tell us to translate some huge texts but I never do it, so he talks to me in english instead hahaSimon wrote:I was even better in English than in German (my mother language) but that was probably due to my lack of interest for literature.
