I had my last cross country practice today. After 4 years, my cross country career is over. :( I'm going to miss the team, I still dislike running.

I was supposed to watch Audio/Rocketry play over the weekend. Anyway, I get to the venue and I've never been there before. I walk right upstairs and the place is pretty dead, but there's instruments set up. So I wait for an hour and the place fills up, but there's no one around that I recognize. I down a Jack and Coke and a Grasshopper pint (which was the special) and the first band starts playing. They introduce themselves as the Needle Dicks. They actually sounded pretty good; kind of punk with some ska/reggae sound to it. I have another Grasshopper pint before they play a song called "Black Dick" and I decide I should check out the downstairs. Lo and behold, that's where I had to be this entire time. Turns out the headliner canceled so tickets were only $5. I saw my friends and we continued to drink and wait for the bands to play.

The first band comes up and I've never heard them before so I ask my buddy if he's heard of them. He says, "No, but I talked to the bouncer and he said 'All I know is that this band is punk... and they're TIGHT!'" Their music was okay, nothing spectacular and the frontman looked like Dexter Holland. Hardly anyone was right up by the stage rocking out. My friends and I go back upstairs and mosh to a band that played after the Needle Dicks. Once back downstairs, Audio get up to play and everyone went up to the stage. It was awesome. I got wasted and apparently they ended their set early and started playing outside the venue. I remember a big group of 20 people standing around the band as they played Ghost Town Stories on the sidewalk, me trying to bum a cigarette off a random punk rocker and trying to pick up some chick who was playing the spoons along to Audio's tunes.

Eventually my friend pulled me away to go to some bar so we could pick up some stragglers. I thought I was doing pretty well with this until some guy at the bar comes up to me and says, "Yeah, you're not getting her, she's married and has a husband." I'm pretty sure looking back, that that guy was her husband.

At the end of it all I walked home alone back to my friends' house I was staying at. It was a half-hour walk in the city and lucky for me I have GPS on my phone, otherwise I'd be lost. I'm surprised I didn't get mugged or murdered. I can only imagine that's what living out the song, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, feels like.

Wow I'm failing a class that literally all we do is build stuff. I'm defenitely sure it's my teacher because he hates me. I had him freshman year and he was the biggest asshole to me. There's no way I can actually be failing that class. ALL WE DO IS FUCKING BUILD SHIT!!! We've been working on a shed for the past month.
