Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
Erm guys...? Breakthrough here. The 12-minute song was a combination of 3 EP songs, right? Well...
Maybe that's why it m had the working title of EPic!!!
I'm sorry, you probably all got that already.

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
Genius.
Skumfuk was the last song that made the cut but I'm not quite sure if they worked on some songs after that? So I wouldn't say it's 100% sure that Skumfuk is on the record.

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
That wasn't through Sum 41 or Island Records. It was it's own deal through NewburyComics. Since the label hasn't been making Sum 41 a priority for this album, I kind of doubt we will get anything special. Fuck, I wish they would press it on vinyl, but that's kind of unlikely too.Mike wrote:they better have a cool pre-order package like UH did, i liked that signed booklet and pint glass

I hope skumfuk doesnt make the record. dont get me wrong, i loved the song, but that would mean A- we get another cool song instead, and B- every other song on the record is even better than skumfuk

I'd fuckin love that too, especially with people saying it's groundbreaking and what not. It would be nice to be able to give it a listen on vinylNic wrote:I wish they would press it on vinyl
Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
Even if Scumfuk makes the album, the rest of the songs will still be better than it! Which is greatness. I hope that there are some good bonus tracksGregorovich wrote:I hope skumfuk doesnt make the record. dont get me wrong, i loved the song, but that would mean A- we get another cool song instead, and B- every other song on the record is even better than skumfuk

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
I actually also hope it won't make the album, cuz that way we'll have another extra song instead of Skumfuk, something we haven't heard.. instead of Skumfuk which we've had for half a year already and we're all sick of.. and also, it's really not that good... everyone liked it much in the beginning when it was released cuz we finally got a new song from Sum 41 after like 3 years, but in reality it sounds like something mediocre from UH , and even kinda reminds me of Always. To be honest, I just hope Skumfuk will end up being a bonus track on SBM and they'll replace it with a song they consider better or so, on the actual record.

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
How can skumfuk remind you of always
Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
Maybe because of the combination of electric guitars and piano, with a section with just Deryck and piano.

Even though that's a similarity.. they don't sound like each other at all.. and Skumfuk doesn't sound like an UH song at all..

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
I just remembered something ...the time when Always got released I was going through some forum and somebody there wrote a sentence like - '''Sum 41' s new song Always suck, it's completely the same as the song Always by Blink 182'' :D
really the only thing these two songs have in common is the title ...

Re: "Screaming Bloody Murder" Discussion!
I don't think he meant to compare the music of Skumfuk and Always, but rather what they are related to SBM/UH. Germans usually say "or is it like..." when they mean "or is it the same way as it was with..." because that's almost the same figure of speech in German.
I don't know about you, but to me that sounds like the perfect example for peer pressure, haha.Jeremy Kill wrote:For me, it depends on how many other people will download it and start discussing it. Yeah so, that's your opinion. He's allowed to have another, I think.
It's a bit like King of Contradiction and Welcome To Hell. They sound similar to me too, structural-wise. Not necessarily soundwise.

I can't believe all the things that you say, since I just can't get enough of this song.Hentaiman wrote:...Skumfuk which we've had for half a year already and we're all sick of.. and also, it's really not that good... everyone liked it much in the beginning when it was released cuz we finally got a new song from Sum 41 after like 3 years, but in reality it sounds like something mediocre from UH...
Sorry to say, but I hate it when you bring your own opinions and state them as everyone's opinion. I LOVE Skumfuk! My play count for it is over 1,000 and I still love rocking that out. To me it represents their new direction, since it sounds like nothing they've done before, even though it's just a deepcut of the album.
So please, keep your opinions as your own.
