good choices. i use SM57s for Snare drums, and Guitar amps. whats that other one, is that just an SM58? if it is, they're good for vocals in a live setting but i wouldn't use them in the studio.

Yeah man just an SM58. We've been using a Singstar mic for back-up vocals at band practice up till now...and a 57 will probably still be better for vocals than the other mic we have too haha. I'll be recording guitar and the drum kit with the 57's, our drummer has a decent studio vocal mic cos he does rapping which is handy. Just have to save up to pay off the rest of my interface now, could be a month or two ;( and we'll probably get the Shure drum kit microphone set as well.
Doubt it really worked at the end, but still kinda funny.
