Well, it's officially going to be the most memorable year for nostalgia now that Blink-182 is officially back. New Blink, Green Day and Sum... My childhood is about to return.

I think the most successful would be Blink for sure! Unless the new album sucks. Which I doubt. Everyone's gonna be talking about it!

Whether the new music sucks or not, I don't think they'll have trouble selling albums or tickets.

Anyway, I think the topic has strayed too far, so let's not talk about Blink-182 here.

haven't replied to this yet, but it is going to be an awesome year. sum, blink, gd, and one of my faves evan taubenfeld. I do think GD and blink will get more media coverage and GD will probably take home the awards, but personally I'm most looking forward to the Sums!!! In my opinion the others don't stand up to deryck's lyrics and emotion. They all have a great sound but Deryck seems to put more thought into the details and for me thats what makes a record.

^I know!! And I hate it when people don't take the lyrics in consideration. They only care about how it SOUNDS like.

I actually prefer music over lyrics. I believe good music can save bad lyrics, but good lyrics cannot save bad music.

i agree.
say, for example, when underclass hero came out, alot of people didnt like it, but i found the more personal writing style good, and could feel a connection to the lyrics in most songs. and usually when i feel a connection to the lyrics, the song sounds better too.

The music and lyrics in UH were both amazingly good. If the lyrics weren't that good, the music saved it. And vice versa. UH's lyrics are one of the deepest I've ever heard.

^Yeah! At one point, Speak of the Devil made me cry. Everything about it, the lyrics and the music.
Deryck has a real talent for expressing himself. It's just, unique. I don't know how to explain.

What I love about UH is that the music depicted the emotion in the lyrics and the song. So you've got this bigass blast of emotion thrown at you within the first 15 seconds of listening to the song. UH is actually amazing, once people take everything in consideration.

For me music and lyrics are both equally important.

Yeah that''s why I thought Underclass Hero was so good. People really don't listen to the lyrics and that's why I thought UH was such a great album, even though it got crappy reviews. I'm thinking about it now, since Green Day and Blink-182 are coming out with albums near the summer time, we might expect a new ablum from Sum 41 around fall or winter.
