y ahora me he ido para siempre
no puedo recordar quien estuvo mal,
toda la inocencia hace tiempo se fue,
pero prometo lealtad a un mundo incredulo
que es donde pertenezco
El desastre andante
el hijo de todos los forros
te lamentas de haberme tenido
es muy tarde para salvarme
(te lamentas de haberme echo
es muy tarde para salvarme)
es hasta lo que puedo contar,
son solo voces en mi cabeza
estare hablando conmigo mismo?
porque no me acuerdo lo que acabo de decir
(y ella dijo)
es hasta donde cai
capaz estaria mejor muerto
estare en el final de la nada
es esto tan bueno como es?
y ahora me he ido para siempre
no puedo recordar quien estuvo mal,
toda la inocencia hace tiempo se fue,
pero prometo lealtad a un mundo incredulo
que es donde pertenezco
El desastre andante
el hijo de todos los forros
te lamentas de haberme tenido
es muy tarde para salvarme
(te lamentas de haberme echo
es muy tarde para salvarme.......)
estare en casa en un tiempo
no tendras que decir nada
no puedo esperar para ver tu sonrisa
no me lo perderia por nada
in spanish
but...what matters isnt it?

Three changes...
"An only child to take the blame"
"Father there's no name you deserve"
That father's one makes sense... but I'm not sure if I hear the "there's" clearly. Probably on the CD and not a ripped streaming version we'll hear it better.
and finally...the "big" fix... "A pillow weight catastrophe" is actually...
"A billowing catastrophe."
for those of you who don't know what "billowing" means.... it essentially means expanding, large, and/or flowing... in the context of this song... it's basically saying the catastrophe of life is getting larger.
Pillow weight is a good guess, but probably wrong... as it implies small and weightlessness.

where it says ''and only jokes to take the blame'', the song sounds more like it says ''an only job to take the blame''

Alright, I've edited it.
It now says "a pill-away catastrophe" and "an only child to take the blame".
I maintain that there is NO "don't" though. There's no time for him to say "don't" there. Or "there" for that matter. NONE. It says "Father's no name you deserve".
Bringing up a new point, Deryck's parents didn't divorce but Avril's parents did. So maybe he's using a bit of that too.

MAYBE it's "pa, there's no name you deserve". cuz it sounds like "father's no name you deserve" but that doesn't really make any sense cuz there's no contraction for father there is. but w/e its a big maybe..

Sometimes artists who don't really have a relationship with one of their parents or lost a parent early in life write about rebelling against both their parents. Don't know why, but they do. Maybe it's a pyschological thing.
If that's what he's doing, "Father's no name you deserve" makes sense.

"Father's no name you deserve" does make sense.
Since Deryck's mom was a single mother... think of it this way...
"Sorry mom but I don't miss you..."
"Father" is no name you deserve.
He could essentially be saying the role of being my dad isn't what you deserve... you deserved to have my dad right there with you... you shouldn't have had to raise me alone being the role of both parents.
Get it?
(PS, yes in the song it's "Father's" not "Father is"... for this illustration though it's clearer to see it as the non-contracted version.)

Except, the only problem with that is that the song starts off with a negative outlook towards his mother (and father), so it wouldn't make sense for him to say something kind-natured at the beginning... Maybe he's saying that she was trying to be both parents, but she just couldn't be. But he mentions "Dad" being in denial in the first verse.
Oh my god, Deryck! I wonder if this actually makes sense to him.
Deryck's said that the song's about not liking where you are, so leaving it, and then realizing that you had something great before. Except he said it in a better-sounding way.
I asked on the Q&A. Hopefully we get an answer.
